Article 59

Temporary and permanent residents, except those seeking political asylum, recognition of refugee status or stateless persons, have a period of thirty calendar days from their entry into national territory, to negotiate the correct residence card they need, which will be valid for the time the Institute has approved to the foreigner. With this card they will be able to prove their migratory situation, in any part of the national territory.

Applicants for political asylum, recognition of refugee status or stateless person or who are granted subsidiary protection, will get their permanent residence card, once their legal process is over.
